Next October

The Next October initiative harnesses Israeli innovation to honor the memory of those lost in the October 2023 Hamas War. More than 1,400 innovative startup companies will commemorate the victims of the war, soldiers and civilians, while building innovative products and services which will be implemented globally and will make for a better world.

A startup company is designated for each fallen soldier and for each civilian victim of the war. Next October will track the progress of the commemoration activities over the years, suggesting various initiatives for remembrance. Moreover, Next October adds ongoing value to its startups through mentorship programs, connections with investors and networking opportunities.

Startups participating in the Next October initiative commit to "doing good" as a core value. They pledge to honor the victims of the war in various ways, depending on their capacity and while keeping in mind the legacies of the victims they will be commemorating.

Shahar Gindi

Shahar Gindi

In commemoration of Shahar Gindi, who was tragically murdered on October 7th, 2023, while attending the Nova party in Re'im with her life partner Almog Sarusi, who was kidnapped to Gaza during the attack, and their friends.

Shahar was a source of immense pride, a loving and kind-hearted person who was the heart of her home. She was beautiful, intelligent, humorous, and always ready to help others.

Shahar led a healthy lifestyle, was disciplined, loved sports, and maintained a nutritious diet. She was a vegetarian out of love for animals and strong ideological beliefs. Shahar loved life, always wore a smile, and enjoyed traveling both in Israel and abroad. She had just completed her second year of psychology studies with honors and volunteered at the Enosh Association, delivering rehabilitation services to people with psychosocial disabilities and their families.

Shahar was 25 years old, the daughter of Ronit and Yigal Gindi, and sister to Adi and Shani.

We at Bluebricks are deeply honored to commemorate Shahar's memory, celebrating the remarkable life she led and the profound impact she had on those around her.
